Nightstand for Floor Beds

I like these easy put together things for kids, different when its an adult item, too many parts

Nice color and no broken or scratched parts, the little one approved this build, but it always saddens me when he takes from here and never puts things back lol his little nightstand is for him, but learning to put away his things because he things it magically gets put away...
Trying to think of how to make it fun, putting things there he wants to go to bed with might be a start

I ordered this Ocodile Kids Nightstand to use as a small bookshelf for holding Accelerated Reading books in my classroom. The shelf is made of very high quality materials and was easy to assemble. It is very sturdy once assembled.

This nightstand is very small, and may be better suited for small, toddler-aged children. It does its job as a bookshelf in my classroom, although the space between the bottom and top shelves is not tall enough to allow average-sized books to stand. I instead have to lay my books flat, but the stand still serves its purpose for me as a bookshelf dedicated to AR books. The measurements are clearly stated, so make sure it’s the right height for what you need.

With the high quality and sturdy wood material, this little nightstand can be useful for several things, and is a good value for the money.

Simple assembly but a significant impact. This is a great size for a child. Each compartment is easily accessible so nothing should be out of reach. It may withstand the weight of a small child standing on it once or twice but I wouldn’t let them make a habit of climbing all over the shelves. It’s great organization for toys, books and sound machines or night lights.

This nightstand is truly tiny (12 lb cat for scale, but also bc he refused to not be involved in my reviewing process lol). The table is the size of a medium step stool that you might put in front of the sink for kids to be able to reach the faucets. (But obviously please don’t use it for that purpose. This has several warnings on it that it’s not meant for standing on).

It’s made with solid wood that has been shaped with no sharp edges or corners, and finished with stain/varnish/paint. It’s very easy to assemble, and took me only a few minutes to set up.

The inner shelf is spacious enough for a stack of picture books, or whatever you or your kiddo wanna stash in there (I could see it easily becoming a little sleeping bunk for a medium sized stuffie friend). Top has plenty of room for an alarm clock, cup of water, and a small tablet/phone stand.

There’s a vertical pocket in the rear which I’m sure will collect crumbs, dust, and crayons—but is the perfect size for the really large kinds of picture books.

The one hangup I have about this is regarding the height. I totally understand that it’s this height for use for floor beds, or crash pads, etc. But given the low height and visual similarity to a step stool, I’m not entirely sure how you’d keep a little one from getting the idea that this would be good for standing or climbing on (when you’re not in the room to tell them not to, of course) other than to put a lot of stuff on that top shelf. Maybe once there’s books and stuff stored in/on it, and/or it’s not sitting next to something taller that kiddo would wanna get up to reach, then it wouldn’t be an issue at all.

I’m an auntie, and not a parent—so perhaps that’s not even something that would be a worry if I had parenting experience; but I just thought I’d throw that out there.

Doesn’t detract from how well made this table is. It’s adorable, and the design shows that this is a company that prioritizes child safety and product quality.

This Ocodile Kids Nightstand has been a really nice addition to our kid’s room. The height is perfect for a floor bed, so my toddler can reach books, water, and a stuffed animal without needing help or climbing on anything. It feels very kid-appropriate and stable.

The front book pocket is honestly the best part. It keeps books out and visible, which has made bedtime a lot easier and actually encourages independent reading. We also use the shelves for a small lamp and a water cup, and it holds everything just fine without feeling flimsy.

The quality is better than I expected. It’s solid wood, feels sturdy, and the rounded edges make it feel safe for little kids. I also like that the finish is non-toxic — always a plus with furniture that kids touch constantly.

Style-wise, it’s simple and clean and fits right in with a nursery or toddler room without screaming “baby furniture.” Overall, it does exactly what it’s supposed to do and feels well thought out. If you’re setting up a floor bed or Montessori-style space, this is a really solid option from Ocodile.
